The Livin' Is Easy?

It is the second day of summer, and I have been Taking Steps in various areas of my life. Some of the things I did not want to do and have avoided doing. Some of the things I want to do and have avoided doing. I started with that which I didn’t want to do at all, and now I may just call it a day before I get to the good stuff.

What has summer done for you lately? Sweat and regret, that’s all I got. At least they rhyme, so I can write an epic poem later.

Summer has broken my air conditioner and baked all my follicles into a fine crisp.

Signalite: Who needs follicles, anyway. And maybe Winter broke your air conditioner and blamed it on Summer.

Summer? Maybe it's just Washington State, maybe it's just me, but while everyone else is stripping off their clothes I'm still gadding about in a hoodie jacket shivering.

Might be time for warmer climes.

Summer is a prevaricator. Every year She arrives in-limine with her deceptive warmth and promises of even sunnier days to come, then she turns ugly and messes with my skin. The world's most precious beauty treatments fail to foil her relentess assualt on my epidermisis. This brings up an interesting, albeit, only quasi-related question.

If I were to combine say, a dozen or so, of the world's most powerful anti-aging potions, would I go back in time?

P.S. Summer also brought me the final episode of Stargate SG1 last night. How geeky am I for feeling like I just lost my favorite puppy? How will I go on without my weekly Daniel Jackson fix? Maybe I'll spend the day making a shrine...maybe not.

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?"
Hot, dusty, fly infested.

Craig: Sounds like I need to move there.

Jeffrey: I suppose it's preferable to a slingshot effect around the sun, if only because your skin would probably even get more damaged in that process.

Jeffrey again: I never watched that show, but am I to understand that Daniel Jackson is a puppy?

Campbell: You have obviously never been to summer in Maryland, which is not dusty so much nearly Atlantean in its moistness.

Yep...puppy is RIGHT. A not very hairy puppy. YUM. What can I say? I'm just not a cat person.
