Fruit and Flowers

Today is Rob’s and my fourth wedding anniversary. We all know what this means: You’ve had four years to get me a present, so where is it?

Um, ha ha. What I meant to say is, this means my yearly link back to the day it all happened.

Apparently, the traditional gift for the fourth anniversary is "flowers and fruit". So you could wake up to a dandelion stuck in a banana.

I also see that the "contemporary" fourth anniversary gift is electrical appliances. Soooo, the modern equivalent of flowers and fruit is a toaster oven. O, the romance of it all!

Thanks everyone! I have to point out to Rindy that our dishwasher broke on our anniversary and we ended up having to buy a new one. Who knew that contemporary tradition was so powerful?
